2nd sentence "in response to the local
problem of rogue motorcycling in their area."
The wrod
"rogue" has been changed to "illegal". "rogue motorcycling"
already hits well
on Google (at
#1), but "illegal motorcyclng" does not appear. We hope that this
change
will change
this.
At bottom, "We are hoping
to add links to and from other sites of mutual interest; etc?"
has been
removed. We are already doing so.
We have
removed the Bravenet hit counter, with its intrusive pop-up
advertisements.
Contact Us
The Geocaching Association of
Great Britain has added a link to us on their website.
We have added
a reciprocal link to them at www.gagb.org.uk.
The www.walkerstalk.com link has been removed, the site having apparently been taken
over by
something irrelevant.
Alternative Reporting The Lake District National Park having extinguished the post of Trails Adviser,
we have
removed our email link to that office.

It was felt by some that
our website appeared hostile to all (off-road) motorcycling. This
was not our
intention but, to allay those concerns, we have made the following
additional
changes, and thank them for their help and co-operation in making them.
Problem
Top
Change Motorcyclists, as people, have as much right as anyone else
to be on
bridleways, footpaths and open spaces in Great Britain.
Riding their
vehicles in those places enjoys no such right.
Riding them
there causes damage, distress and danger.
To
Motorcyclists, as people, have as much right as anyone else
to be on
bridleways, footpaths and open spaces in Great Britain.
Riding their vehicles there enjoys no such right, unless permitted by law.
The great
majority of motorcyclists respect the law and ride responsibly.
The
irresponsible riding of motorcycles in those places causes damage,
distress and danger.
Bottom Change
Rogue motorcyclists seem totally unaware of the damage they do and the
effect
they have on
legal users of the paths, the hills, the fells and other open spaces.
They continue
to break the law openly, relying for their protection on speed,
anonymity and
the isolation of observers.
To
Rogue motorcyclists seem totally
unaware of the damage they do and the effect
they have on
legal users of the paths, the hills, the fells and other open spaces;
furthermore,
they seem totally unconcerned by the bad name that they give to
legitimate
motorcycling. They continue to break the law openly, relying for their
protection on
speed, anonymity and the isolation of observers.
You
Responsible Motorcyclists
Change Rogue motorcyclists spoil it for everyone.
You probably
know who they are.
You can help
by using your influence and spreading the word.
To
As you are well aware, rogue
motorcyclists spoil it for everyone.
If you know
who they are you can continue to help by using your influence
and spreading
the word, and by offering to take part in random stake-outs
of likely
places of entry and exit to speak to the culprits.

Be aware also that your activity sullies
the reputation of legitimate motorcycling
and could
result in the imposition of a total ban on all.

PROPOSAL 1
Remove Advice
specifically directed towards single women.
Add
Whole section on legitimate riding
of trail routes, ending with the link to cumbria.gov.uk.
